To Follow Jesus!

Welcome Home!

We are so glad you made the choice to follow Jesus today! In John 5:24 Jesus says: “Truly, Truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment but has passed from death to life!” We celebrate with you as you make the jump from death to life today and want to help equip you on your journey forward. We hope the information provided on the next few pages will help encourage, equip, and inspire you to move forward in your relationship with Christ as well as your relationship with the church.

What Is Salvation? Why Do I Need It? How Do I Get It?

What Is Salvation?

Simply put salvation is belonging to God. Without God we believe we are lost, or separated from Him. With God we are found, or Saved.

I'm a Good Person, Isn't This Enough to be Saved?

"After all, I don't break the law, steal, do drugs, or hurt others; why wouldn't it be enough? The Bible is very clear though that this isn't enough."

Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (ESV)

Romans 3:10 - Scripture leaves no doubt about it: There's nobody living right, not even one, nobody who knows the score, nobody alert for God. They've all taken the wrong turn; they've all wandered down blind alleys. No one's living right; I can't find a single one. (MSG)

Romans 5:12 - Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned. (ESV)

Is sin really that big of a deal? What hope is there?

"Can sin really separate me from God? If so, what do I do?"

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

After what I’ve done to grieve God how could he willingly die in my place?

"If God can take away my sins by dying for me, why would he?"

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. (ESV)

Romans 5:8 - But god shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (ESV)

Can I be saved?

"I recognize now that I need God to forgive my sin against him what should I do?"

Romans 10:9 - If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. (ESV)

Ephesians 2:8 - For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God. (ESV)

Did God hear me? Did He accept me?

"I want to be sure that I belong to God now. What does the Bible say about it?"

 - Peace in God - Romans 5:1 - Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. (ESV)

- No Condemnation - Romans 8:1 - There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (ESV)

- Fixed in Christ - 8:38-39 - For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus Our Lord. (ESV)

- Romans 10:13 - For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. (ESV)
