But first, coffee!
Just when you thought you’ve gone to all the coffeeshops in Omaha or have found your go-to drink, more coffeeshops and flavor combos have been popping up around the Omaha area. In June of 2021, my friend and I put together the first “Barista’s Guide” blog together, but I figured I’d add onto the list for you fellow coffeeshop and caffeine lovers.
The Grind. Coffeehouse (Elkhorn)

I have been going here A LOT! The Grind. Coffeehouse has a very modern feel, and it's a perfect addition to the Elkhorn area (even more perfect for me since it is on my way to work)! They have a great staff and numerous, efficient ways to order, which is helpful on a busy morning!
Go-To Drink Orders:
Peach Mango Refresher – dried mango pieces, mango, and peach juice (contains green coffee which gives a boost of natural caffeine)
The Grinder – vanilla, espresso, espresso beans, ice and The Grind’s secret sauce (this is a blended drink!)
The Coffee Society (La Vista)
I have yet to go to The Coffee Society, but I have heard only positive responses from people who have been. After finding out they have a blackberry latte, I got excited! I can’t wait to check this place out for myself.
Go-To Drink Order: Blackberry Vanilla Latte – espresso, milk of your choice, blackberry syrup, vanilla syrup
Thrive Coffee (Ralston @ My City Church!)

I absolutely love Thrive Coffee. Being a part of the Thrive team has added a fun layer to serving at My City Church, while also sharing the love of coffee. Pastors Tyler and Jordyn Kirkle are the founders and owners of this mobile coffee shop. They serve quality specialty coffee/espresso every Sunday at My City Church and for special events! Treat yourself to caffeine before team rally or have coffee with a friend after service!
Go-To Drink Orders:
Masala Chai Latte – Masala Chai Concentrate, milk of your choice (Make it a Dirty Chai by adding a shot of espresso OR add some sweetness with vanilla)
*Grace’s Secret Menu Favorite* Peppermint Tea Latte – vanilla syrup, steeped herbal peppermint tea, steamed milk (This is caffeine-free!)
Honey Lavender Oat Milk Latte – honey, lavender syrup, oat milk (or milk of your choice), and espresso (by far one of the most popular drinks on the menu!)
The Mill Coffee & Tea (Omaha)
That's right, a Lincoln favorite is now in Omaha! The Mill Coffee & Tea launched just last week on March 15th, 2023 on Leavenworth Street! This coffeehouse not only has a great atmosphere, but it also has quality tea and coffee. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! They have tons of flavors you can add to your latte as well as their staples:
Go-To Drink Orders:
Hot Toddy Latte - cold brew steamed + milk
Shakerato - chilled espresso, shaken to a froth
As Omaha continues to grow, I'm sure there will be a "Part 3" of this blog series in the near future, so stay tuned! In the meantime, enjoy these new hidden gems in the Omaha area!
Cheers to more coffee!
