Not by strength, but by strategy
By looking at the life of Samson (Judges 16:4-30), we learn the "red flags" of the enemy and how we can overcome the devil's schemes.
"Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes." Ephesians 6:11 (NIV)
We learn from Samson that even the strongest man in the world can be taken down by the enemy - not because he couldn't avoid the enemy's attacks, but because he continued to allow the enemy (Delilah in this case) to nag him to the point of giving into weakness (v.16). What in our lives do we continue to allow, put up, and entertain that end up destroying us?
"So many of us are eternally saved, but presently bound." ~ Pastor Eli Nelson
Your sin will find you out (Numbers 32:23). Why does God allow this?...
"God cares more about your soul than He does about your purpose." ~ Pastor Eli Nelson
Are you relying on your own strength or the strength of the Lord?
You cannot fight against these spiritual forces on your own. The good news is that you have access to the power of the Holy Spirit.
What are you carrying today that Jesus has set you free from?
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:1 (NIV)
Resist the devil and be filled with the Spirit.
