Commissioning Sunday: You Are God's Magnum Opus

This Sunday we commissioned our new Lead Pastors, Eli and Kelly Nelson.

Our church is blessed to be lead by such an anointed and firmly planted couple. “We look into the future with great expectation, knowing the best is yet to come”, as stated in our core value Faith-Filled in Confession.

We didn’t just take a new step as a church this Sunday, but we got to worship as a church body for the first time on our home turf, at My City Headquarters. We got to go back to our roots and do this service “family-style”.

Not only did we commission our new Lead Pastors, but got to hear a spirit-filled word from our very own Pastor Jerry Hough.

We walked through what it looks like to be called “God’s Masterpiece”.

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

We are created in the image of God.

We are God’s Magnum Opus. His greatest creation is us. He created us to do “good things”.

"Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you." Jeremiah 1:5 (MSG)

God has had a purpose and a plan for you since the beginning, long before you were born. If you don’t know God’s plan for you, just ask. Go to the One who made you, who shaped you in your mother’s womb.

"“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord." Jeremiah 29:11
