Day 17: Favor with Buildings/Locations

God has so much in store for us

“Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].” Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP)

As this new year begins, we look to God to open doors for us and to bless us with a permanent building to house not only our Sunday worship, praise and prayers, but to bless us with a building equipped to assist us in serving the city of Omaha every day of the week in whatever manner God sees fit. May we trust and be confident in God that He has already chosen the perfect, permanent location for us.

God's timing is always perfect

This scripture instructs us to not rely on our own insight or understanding. In the natural, it’s human to begin to look at the calendar and to look at the past five years and wonder how much longer God will be asking us to serve in a temporary location. It’s in the supernatural that God is making our paths straight and smooth as our hearts remain focused on Him as our source and our provider. God’s timing is never late, but as I’m sure most of us have learned, it is also never one moment early. God is always right on time with the answers to our prayers.

Let's believe for the MORE God has for us!

Let us take a moment today to acknowledge and to recognize God for blessing us with our current Sunday location, Ralston High School. We trust that God is doing a good work in each one of us as we continue to bring the Word of God to the city of Omaha through our obedience in serving wherever and whenever God’s will directs our steps. Let’s pray:

God, we humbly come to you today and thank you for the current building serving as the Sunday home for your good and faithful servants at My City Church. May our hearts remain focused on you as our source and our provider, and as such, we look to you for guidance as you lead us along the path to our first permanent home. Thank you for removing all obstacles and making our paths straight. Your ways are not our ways, and we are thankful that you have already chosen a location that is exceedingly above and beyond all that we ask or think. We believe and declare that when the keys to our new building are handed over to us, the people of Omaha and beyond will not be able to help but say, “Surely, this was God.” In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
