I LOVE MY CITY!
On Sunday, October 2nd, 2022 at The Table, we have the incredible opportunity to serve our city and show them the love of Christ. If you would like to make a difference in the city of Omaha, keep reading so you can know how you can be a part!
What should I expect?
The doors open at 4:30 pm and the night will begin at 5:00 pm with worship and prayer. The founder and owner of The Table will share a short history of Omaha and the spiritual dynamics of the Downtown area. She will then guide us in best practices to ministering to the homeless population and we will be grouped in teams no less than 4. With care packages and resources in hand, we will disperse in our groups to various locations in Downtown Omaha to minister. We will be on the streets for about 45-50 minutes. Then, we will all gather back at The Table to share God stories/testimonies of what we experienced. A closing prayer will conclude the night. Note: We will have professionally trained security detail on all groups walking the streets.
Who should come?
While this is a City Girl event, we encourage anyone to come and join us for this night. Whether you’re a woman, man, or child, there is a place of ministry here for you. We ask that children under the age of 12 remain at The Table to pray for the adults ministering on the streets. Prayer leaders, childcare workers, and security will oversee the children. We encourage women and men over the age of 12 to join us on the streets. If you are limited in your mobility, alternative outlets for ministry are: Prayer Team, Security Team at The Table, Security Team on the streets overseeing Outreach Groups, and Childcare workers.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, bright, but not flashy clothing. Wear close-toed shoes with no open heels.
What should I bring?
We have packaged and made ready the care items you will be distributing. If you would like to participate in our assembly day, sign up HERE! We ask that you do not bring any purses, personal items, or cash while ministering.
Where should I park?
Although there is street parking all around Downtown, we are working on getting a centralized location close to The Table for you to park for free or at discount. Once you register to serve at this event, you will be emailed more details regarding this as the time gets closer!
Can I donate supplies?

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’" Matthew 25:41-45 (NIV)
