Gold Digger: There Is More Where That Came From

Love gives.

In the third and final installment of our “Gold Digger: From Paper to Purpose” series, Pastor Eli shares the heart behind giving and what God asks us as His followers to do.

“You are not responsible for the outcome, you are responsible for being obedient to what God is asking you to do.” Pastor Eli Nelson

In Malachi 3:10, God asks us to bring the tithe, not give the tithe. If we are asked to bring something, it’s because we don’t really own it! We are just giving back to God what is already his!

“‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.'”Malachi 3:10 (NIV)

Pastor Eli shares Four “More” Mindsets that we are to have as believers:

  1. Entrusted or entitled?
  2. Relationship or reluctance?
  3. Obedience or optional?
  4. Multiply or maintain?
“Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.” 1 Timothy 6:17-19 (NIV)

Trusting our life, our family, and our finances in the hands of God will always bring more than we could have ever hoped for or imagined! In God, there is always more where that came from!
