VISION SUNDAY

Stand back up.

On Vision Sunday 2022, Pastor Eli Nelson walked us through the history of past revivals in the U.S. From the Third Great Awakening in the late 1800s, to the Azusa Street Revival in the early 1900s, to the 20th Century Revival in the 1970s, God has been on the move in the United States. What's interesting about these revivals is that they have happened within about 50 years of each other...so we are due for another great awakening in this country.

"A culture of despair will always cultivate a people who crave revival." ~ Ps. Eli Nelson

My City Church's mission is to build a large, Christ-centered, Bible-based church that influences cities toward Christ. Our purpose is to lift up Jesus in this city by loving people and empowering leaders in every sphere of life. This has been our mission and purpose since the beginning, and it has not changed.

"Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith." Hebrews 13:7 (NIV)

God is still in the business of revival.

"This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." Ephesians 5:14 (NIV)

We're called to stand for our church. Our nation. Our families. Our city. When we do whatever it takes, God will bless the work of our hands.

What are you standing for in 2022?

The vision for this church, this city, and your life will move at the pace of your faith.
