What do you see?
“Listen carefully: Unless a grain of wheat is buried in the ground, dead to the world, it is never any more than a grain of wheat. But if it is buried, it sprouts and reproduces itself many times over. In the same way, anyone who holds on to life just as it is destroys that life. But if you let it go, reckless in your love, you’ll have it forever, real and eternal.” John 12:24-25 (MSG)
Our Operations Pastor, Pastor Clyde Stackhouse, gave a powerful message on God’s purpose and destiny for our lives. Just like a seed is purposeless unless it is buried in the ground – you will never fulfill your purpose until you release the “seed” to fall to the ground and die. Being planted in the ground is dark, dirty, and uncomfortable – but it’s through death that we produce life.
Whether it’s your finances, your marriage, your career, your family, or your own time: you have to be willing to sacrifice what you think you want or need in order for the more God has for you to come to fruition in your life.
God wants to prove Himself faithful to you. But you have to be willing do what He’s calling you to do and go where He’s calling you to go.
“It’s on the other side of faithfulness where we see the fulfillment of His promise.” Pastor Clyde Stackhouse
And remember this: Your life is bigger than you! So let’s live our lives poured out for the purposes of God – because we know He is faithful to fill us up again and again!
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
