We are called to live by conviction, not convenience.
What happens when the government tells us to do something that we know is bad, but the government calls it good?
"Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves." Romans 13:1-2

This week, Pastor Eli Nelson shared with us the three forms of government that God has established within the church:
- The Family Body
- The Church Body
- The Civil Body
He also shares with us the difference between a Manly Worldview vs. a Godly Worldview and how we are called to live by conviction and not convenience.
Above, in Romans 13:1, it tells us that all authorities have been established by God, and that we must submit to those authorities. Those who go against the authorities are going against what God has commanded.
However, what if what the authorities, whether in the family, the church or in the civil body, are asking you to go against the word of God? Are we still called to obey?
Why is it that when we hear the word, “government”, we assume we have to follow everything? The truth is this: We are called to submit to God over submitting to the government.
Pastor Eli tackles all of this and more in this week's sermon. Check out our Online Experience below!
